and I want to know what I should be charging people and how to determine what I should charge them (ex: based on room size or services performed)..... this will be located in New York city, in the 5 boroughs

Check Craigslist, contact a maid service, etc...

Do the research.

You should call around to cleaning companies in your area as a "potential customer" and feel them out for information. Just ask general questions about their prices and services, and how their rates are determined, etc. These people will be your competition, so it's probably best to try to make your rates comparable with theirs.Good luck!
