Well, this guy who I think is like my good buddy, goes around talking about me behind my back really mean, and calling me stuff. As well as his best friend who I considered like my brother! I'm just mad at them both and not talking to either of them, but if you could help me with this issue, that would be wonderful.

Oops, this guy who I THOUGHT was my good friend. They are both very stubborn and don't care if they hurt people or not though?

Its a hard thing to discover, but now that you've discovered it, you have the opportunity to stop thinking of them as friends. If you are female, and the 'friend' is a heterosexual guy, he was probably wanting to hook-up with you as more than a friend. This unfortunately means he's not a 'true' friend. Trust me, there's plenty of good people out there that I'm sure you'll befriend. Cut your losses and move on. The worst thing you could do is put all the work in trying to salvage the friendship. If he really was your friend at all, he'll apologize and try to make it up to you. Don't make it too easy for him, make him work for it. If he really still wants to be your friend, make him show you with his efforts.
That's my two cents for ya.

I had a good friend and than I found out she went and told some things about me to my ex and she tried to deny it but why would my ex of 6 years lie to me? So all I did was tell her theres no trust in the friendship and just be civil with her, but I cant hang out with someone whos gonna talk about me behind my back like that. Thats not a friend.

Well you know I think that you should just leave them behind and move on to a new set of friends.

If you let them treat you that way that is they way it will always be. So to avoid this problem in the future, just stop being friends and try to find a new friends.

ABSOLUTELY confront them both without losing your cool.

Do it with other people in the room. Do it with them both together. Watch them squirm for a minute or two. Then "fire" them both as your friends. They never actually were.

Remember, you already have the high ground, here. Keep your cool, keep it honest, call them out on their sh%#, and leave the room while their jaws are dropped.

You probably already have better friends then these two clowns, perhaps you just don't know it yet.

Godspeed!!

If you were good friends, and he's being a jerk... you should be able to tell him that.

However, friendships in high school are often easy-come-easy-go. Peer pressure plays a much, much larger factor in friendships than it probably should.

If you can't tell him to stop being a jerk, and have him stop being a jerk... it's likely that your friendship is on the "easy-go" side of things. Walk away and try again with new friends.

People talk bad about others, to make themselves feel important. Maybe they are jealous of you, or maybe you are just an easy-going target for them. Either way, do you REALLY call these people FRIENDS? come on now! Find new friends. Real friends.

i think i would do the same and avoid them if they are saying these things there really not your friends and there trying to fit in elsewhere by saying those things to others A true friend stands up for their friends.
If they do care about your friendship and they contact you then tell them what you heard and state that you do not accept that from anyone and sorry they do not respect you and your "you thought " friendships

First off, you NEED to talk to them about this issue. You can't just ignore it, but it is not just going to go away. Try again.

Talk to them. Tell them how you feel. Ask them why. And be sure to LISTEN.

Even if you lose your friendship, having them know that you're upset with them is going to make YOU feel better too.

Truthfully, they were never your friends to begin with if they talked bad about you behind your back. Secondly, they aren't worth your time, however if you really want to find out why they did it, be the bigger person and talk to them.
