I am making an award show...and I need cheap ideas for the centerpieces of the tables. The main colors for the award show are red, black, silver, and white. I would really appreciate it, if I could get some answers.

The center pieces are for an award show...like actors award show. And like I said earliere the colors are red, black, silver, and white. We have rectangular tables...and we are thinking of having black or silver table cloths.

See these square vases...

Take a big, red candle like the one below and put it in the center of the sqaure vase.

Fill the vase about half way up with black, smooth rocks you can get even at a dollar tree.... They are like the ones in the link below, but they are black and they are very very smooth.

Then you can even fill it with water to about an inch above the rocks and lay some red pedals over the water just floating.

you failed tomention what type of show it is.

how many tables and how large do you want the centerpiece.

you can get a nice vase and flowers at any dollar store and you might be able to find notvelty items that would match the shows design if you look hard enough.

also, when do you need this by.

If you have a craft store they have mags there that teach you how to do that, they have great centerpieces and the materials are right there.

I made a great baby for a centerpiece for my daughters baby shower,

styrofoam balls for head and body then two squares to cut out feet and a nice baby bonnet, eyes etc,

Use mirrors in the centers of the tables and put little tea light candles on em (if you can't use real ones, they have battery operated ones that still flicker). Surround these with some green fern or other flowers.

Or you could do the same thing with the mirrors & candles & get a small bowl to put in the middle of each mirror & have a small beta fish in the middle.

Or just the mirrors & candles alone.

Good luck.

JCPenny has some really nice vaces. They r plastic, but look like glass. Fill them with water and put in some flower petals and a cheap little floating candle. U could of course get glass vases that r about 7 bucks a pop!
