Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly should open.
Lots of experience.
Perfect opening pair.
Combination fo Right Hand and Left Hand.
Both are matured and have scored more then 25, 000 runs in One day Internation.

India should open with Ganguly and Robin Uthappa and Sehwag and Tendulkar should be made to bat in the middle. However, if Uthappa fails, then Sehwag and Ganguly should open. Though Saurav and Sachin have been the most successfull opening partners for India, since India do not have much experienced players to take care of middle, Sachin should battle in the middle to consolidate the innings.

Sachin would had been a better option with saurav as opening pair had they played some 5-6 innings together to relive that magic again after saurav's return.
But since, utthapa is in great touch, he should be tried with minnows, i would prefer to see uitthapa playing bang bang game and ganguly sticking to wicket till 40 overs or something to give solid foundation to innings.

yeah its a good pair
they should be given a chance in mathces against bangladesh and bermuda to look how does they work now.
other option is uthappa and saurav as shewag is out of form he should be dropped coz a century against weak teams doesn't matters a lot.
and if really play well then shewag n uthappa they can make opposite team on backfoot
