They irritate the crap out of me! I thought I was the only one! I don't know if "preggers" is like a cute baby-name way of saying that someone is pregnant... but it's stupid none the less. Why not just say PREGNANT or EXPECTING they have the same amount of letters for the most part lol ... and they're not any harder to say.
sheesh. It felt good to vent ;)

Personally I think you should find better thing to take up your time than being annoyed by slang. People butcher the English language all the time and it's going to keep happening. I like the words preggers or prego. It's better than knocked up! I call my sisters her baby bump. So, I'm sure you use slang at some point in time that probably bothers someone else. . . . my advice is to get over it.

This question is asked her frequently. It doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I frequently use the term preggers. Its just my personality. Changing times my dear. Back in "I Love Lucy" days, they couldn't even say pregnant on tv, it was alway "expecting" or "with child." I imagine when people started staying "pregnant" it ruffled a few feathers. Hey, its better than knocked up, IMO. Anyway, just my two cents!

It annoys me, i don't answer those questions usually. I clicked on this one just out of curiosity at to what it might be about. I agree with you they just sound dumb and they don't even shorten the word more than a few letters so why even bother.

I hate typing out pregnant, cause I always think I spelt it wrong. It's just easier. I don't like it when people call me most names irl.
