Back when I started world of warcraft as a rogue, I thought that being a dagger rogue would own (because of the ambush) and it did! It got me all the way up to level 60, with no complaints up until then. But once I started doing Hellfire Citadel, I realized that sword rogues do so much more damage than dagger rogues and it was then when I switched over from daggers to swords. Now my question is, what branch (sub., assasination, combat) would be best for a sword rogue. BTW I am fully sub. and you really need to be a dagger rogue to get the full advantage of that skill tree, so if any other people with rogue charachters out there have any suggestions on which branch I should take, please help me >_<. (BTW he is level 63 now if that makes any difference on where i should spend the points)

Thanks!!!

it has been a while but if you go to wowvault.ign.com you can click on the talent trees (i forgot was it was called) talent calculator. and you can see some of the ones that people saved order them by stars or comments and go through and try to understand what they were doing.

I would look into the Combat branch. I don't have the specific benefits in front of me, but my lvl 32 Rogue duel weilds swords and I'm usually in the top 1-2 damage dealer in my instance groups. I've spent all my talent points so far in the combat tree.
too bad it wasn't a warlock question. I've respec'ed my lock so many time, I think I have all the talents memorized.

easily bypass with the greater suitable weapons at the same time with swords, 1h maces, and 1h axes. until you're at a factor interior the interest the place you're raiding and hitting the back of the objective a super kind of the time, daggers usefulness is noticeably low. Its not a bad thought to hold a solid dagger with you, inspite of the undeniable fact that, given which you are able to swap weapons for the period of attempt against particularly. Why not open with an ambush and then swap on your considerable (slower) weapon and sinister strike!!
