Has anyone ever had a situation where you do a spell check in Excell and it does not work?

I have a document where I have entered relatively long strings of data into individual cells....they are in the form of explanations of a result noted elsewhere on the sheet. When I go to spell check I correct the words via the spell checker...when I close and reopen, the changes seem not to have been made? Anyone ever heard of this?

Is this a document someone else sent you via e-mail and you updated it? If so, it may be saving to a temporary folder. Try it again, and make sure to save to your hard drive (My Documents), etc.
