I wonder if being an Indian is enough to administer well. But I still do not support Rahul Gandhi as PM. Being brought up in riches, still obsessed with Italian roots, how can we give away a nation into such oblivious hands. An association with Gandhis isn't an eligibility criteria to rule India.

This is such a hypocritical question that I can't stop laughing.
It is unacceptable for Rahul Gandhi to become PM because of his business relations and foreign born girlfriend.
It is unacceptable for Sonia Gandhi to become PM because of her Italian origins.
But it is fine if a Muslim man can become President!!!
If the ethnicity of your wife as well as your business relations is an issue, then so should one's religion. Only those people should be able to constitute the echelons of leadership who have born into an Indian or Hindu religion. This means only Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists and Zoroastrians.

Who cares, as long the PM cares for the country. Whom he sleeps with or does business with is none of common man's concern. But not someone who has an option to run away when faced with trouble (for which a true Indian citizen becomes a criteria). When you have options to chose your country of domicile, you can always run away from Indian Laws (only such people who can be answerable to Indian legal system, if need arises should be given any position of authority).

India is a democratic & secular country. it has its own constitutions. if u have any reservations u have every right not to choose him. if rahul gandhi becomes pm of india it is by elections . if people of india elect him to be their leader he will be their leader, if they reject him he will not be there. thats all.i don't think his marriage with a foreigner will affect his future. anyway his india has accepted his mother as an indian.so why not rahul who has indian blood in him ?

RAHUL GANDHI BEARS THE GENS OF BRAHMINS, THE RULING CLASS.
HOWEVER RELIGION IS THE PERSONAL MATTER, religion is nothing to do with the official post, whether it is PM office or else.
Any how his paternal side connect him with the ruling class i.e., BRAHMINS. It makes no difference if he serve the country as a P.M.

Does your country place limitations on who can be PM? If not, then why make a big deal out of this? Either find a more suitable candidate he'll probably wind up winning.

Then you first set yourself an example. Be Indian and buy Indian. Throw away your mobile, fridge, toyota, tv, washing machine and your call centre job. Don't go to US for better job after IIT etc. Good luck swadeshi.
