u can summarize a chapter in half a page...in the end u will have 6 paragraphs and 3 pages...dont write alot only the main points, important info and dont get into alot of details...just a few gud ones will do

First, you don't need to copy every word from your textbook. That should cut out a few pages.
Second, the idea of the report is likely to show that you understand the general trends of that period in history. So, you should pick out the dominating themes of the period and cover them. Support your choices of dominating themes by pointing out important facts.
Third, going with this rather straightforward approach may leave your report too short. In this case, just fill in more details or expand an introduction or a conclusion.

History books usually have end of chapter summaries. Just read those and pick out key points.
