The Anaheim Ducks. Their forwards have tremendous speed, grit and scoring ability. The defense has two of the best defensemen of our time (Neidermeyer & Pronger) who both play nearly half the game on seperate lines, and can play on the same line when it's crunch time. J.S. Giguere has been solid in goal all season long.

They also have 4 solid offensive lines 2 solid defensive lines. They will be very tough to beat in a 7 game series.

Right now it looks like Pittsburgh or Detroit. Pitt has been white hot since the break. They just beat the top 2 teams in the east(Buf and NJ) and they beat Nashville last month. If they get a 1 or 2 seed watch out.

Detroit is...well...Detroit. They got Hasek who is having a stellar year and they just beat Nashville 3 times in 9 days.

NJ has zero offense, and while Brodeur could be the best ever, I don't think anybody can be that good.

Buffalo just can't.

Anaheim and Vancouver will give it a run but won't make it.

I think the Nashville Predators will beat the Buffalo Sabres in 7 games. I think Nashville is a completely solid team, from their high powered quick offensive, to their solid defense, a their two highly skilled goaltenders (Vokoun and Mason). If they play like they can, they'll make it to the finals.

Although I don't like Buffalo, I think they're a good team. They're possibly the fastest team in the league. Their D is just as quick, and they get a lot of opportunities from their D-men jumping up in the play off of counter-attacks. Ryan Miller is a great goalie, and he'll have to stand on his head in the play-offs.

In my opinion, Buffalo will take the series to 7 games, but the whole play-offs will wear on the Sabres, and they'll tire out and the Preds will win.

San Jose Sharks.

They have a solid team with one of the best powerplays and one of the best 1-2 punch players in Marleau and Thornton. They have 2 starting goaltenders in Nabby and Vesa. They have depth, youth and size. They upgraded their defense by adding experience and leadership with Craig Rivet. They also added another awesome winger in Bill Guerin to add to their arsenal of attacks! They are on a small winning streak right now with Nabokov just scorching hot, and they will put it all together and make a run for the Stanley Cup.

the Ducks for sure. They are the best all around team in the league. Almost everyone on that team can score or fight. Bryzlov (i dont know how to spell sorry) showed how good of a playoff goaltender he is last year and giguere has showed in past years how good he is in playoffs. They went far last year in the playoffs and this year they have a way better team
they will go all the way this year. oh i forgot to mention that their defence is among the best in the league.

Atlanta Thrashers - b/c that is the trend -for a good scoring team, with a weaker defense to win the cup.

Or

Minnesota - just because i like them

But, lets hope the Sens bring the Cup back to Bytown

The Devils

The West is weak and the Preds have been feasting on crappy teams.

The system the Devils have had the last few decades, boring as it may be, is usually the most consistent at producing wins.

Doesn't hurt to have Martin twixt the pipes either.

The ducks they have their leaders in Scott Niedermayer and Chris Pronger. They've been here before losing to edmonton in western finals last year. And JS Giguerre is known to get giggy with it come playoff time. And they are super fast and any one can score for them.
