For the past 5 days, I get the unable to connect with internet message. I tried reboot, and I tried disconnecting and reconnecting cables to modem. I have service through cable.

So how did you post this question? Not at home, I guess. You should call your cable provider and ask them to look into it.

First, power off your cable modem and router for 2 minutes, then power it on. If that does not work, call your cable company. (ISP)

Pull all the plugs, computer, modem, router, if you have one. Plug back in after 60 seconds..Hold the reset button in, with a pen, for 60 seconds on the router. This will refresh your system, hope it works..Good Luck..

phone your Service Provider to see if it is a problem your end first

try this command ...
start>type 'cmd' w/o quotes>then try ping 127.0.0.1 if u get something like reply with TTS and stuff that means ur lan card is workin...if not get ur lan card(ethernet card) checked/repaired
