Obviously 1929, and then again on Black Monday in 1987. These are the only two declines that are generally referred to as crashes. There is no hard and fast rule as to what signifies a crash, but those are the two that are pretty universally accepted.

It crashed in 1929. There have been ups and downs since then but nothing anyone has called a crash.

First time (recently) was around 26th- 28th Feb, then it's damn well done it again this morning on opening.
