i always got one male and two females they breed rather quickly and they can live for a long time i had one guppy that lived to be 5 years old she probably would have lived longer if she didn't die in my house fire

The male ones will bully the females so just stick to 1 male for every 4 female. Thats the rule.

The ratio of guppys should be 2 females for every male you have in there, as they are live breeders they tend to mate till the die!! So its best to have more females than males to compensate for this

Guppies are like rabbits. i all started with 3 of each and every in a 50 gallon tank. interior the final year I actual have gave away thousands. They numerous quickly so which you would be nice with what you have.

Always better to have more females than males. If you only had one of each the male would chase the female around all day and harass her.

seems like you already have several of the same answer, but you should get 2-3 females for your male. if you have only one, he'll chase her ALL DAY and run her ragged. to keep the stress level down, keep more females and they each will take a share of the chasing!
