Facts that everyone needs to remember

1) Last year, NO #1 seeds made it to the final four.
2) Florida was not a number one seed last year, but still made it. They also had no major losses player-wise coming into this season.
3) Since 1979, all # 1 seeds have NEVER made it to the final four. 40.18% of all the final four teams since 1979 have been # 1 seeds, and 21.43% of all teams a 2 seed. This means that the highest odds you can have are to pick 2 #1 seeds, one #2 seed, and one other seed(3-4).

Since 1979
Seed Number in Final Four %
1 45 40.18%
2 24 21.43%
3 14 12.96%
4 10 9.43%
5 5 4.81%
6 6 5.88%
7 1 1.00%
8 4 4.08%
9 1 1.04%
10 0 0.00%
11 2 2.17%
12 0 0.00%
13 0 0.00%
14 0 0.00%
15 0 0.00%
16 0 0.00%

4) With that, let's go with the odds.. Pick the best # 1 seeds.
- Florida, Ohio State

5) Pick the best 2 seed not in that bracket (UCLA)

6) Pick your wildcard - 3 or 4 seed
- This is where i think it gets tricky.. you really have 2 options here.
1a) you can pick Texas as a good 4 seed
2a) you can pick UNC in the final four for your second #1, remember you can only pick 2. This would eliminate Ohio State, and put in Texas A&M (your wildcard 3 seed).

So We now have 2 options
Option 1 - Florida, Ohio State, UCLA, Texas
Option 2 - Florida, UNC, UCLA, Texas A&M

The real answer to this question is to simply pick
a) 2 good # 1 seeds
b) The best 2 seed (not in the 2 # 1 seeds regions)
c) a wildcard 3 or 4 seed (not in the other 3 regions)

That formula will at least follow the odds.

My pick is Florida, Ohio State, Texas,UCLA

Midwest: Florida
West: UCLA
East: Texas
South: Texas A&M

Texas and UCLA play for the championship and Texas wins. I know this is a little different than most people but think about how similar this Texas team is with the Syracuse team that won a few years ago. DJ Augustin is a lot like MaCnamara and Durant is a lot like Carmelo Anthony( except better). If this team gets hot they can win it all. Take it from me I go to KU and i watched this team first hand. Don't be suprised if it's the Longhorns cutting down the nets at the end of this.

Midwest: Florida (the eventual repeaters, over UNC)
West: UCLA (the Bruins are for real)
East: UNC (though getting by Georgetown will prove tough)
South: Memphis (probably the most difficult region)
