If you didnt play football in college, i wouldnt suggest it. But if you did, a good start would be talking to your college coach about setting you up at a combine or an open tryout.

You usually have to be invited by the particular NFL team to even tryout. If this is something you really want to do, you should definitely look into the closest arena football team because many of them have open tryouts. The NY arena team invited my entire senior class to an open tryout so anything is possible.

Good luck.

who the hell is this guy CLAIMING to be an NFL recruiter??? haha I just went back and read some of his previous posts and what an idiot!!! Herm Edwards makes predictable plays?? hahah Come on football is NOT trickery it's execution!!!! NFL recruiter my butt.. doesn't even know the game!!! (nileshpatel)

To answer your question.. keep the dream, you don't HAVE to go to college to make it on a team, but it's very hard to get noticed and to get offered a tryout that way.. Heck look at Kurt Warner.. he was packing groceries before he entered the NFL.. I believe he played arena football 1st though.. Good Luck with your dreams, and don't let anyone say you CAN'T!!!

you can make arena but nfl. first of all you need college highlights and college experience. NFL has an age limit. Thats why you never seen a 17 years enter or a freshman in college. You need at least 2 years of collge experience and highlights

I had a friend who tried out for the Niners about 10 years ago as a kicker. He spent all of his time practicing at the local high school field and sent a tape and resume to all NFL teams he got his tryout during the middle of the season but failed to make it--
short story is you can do it but getting noticied is the hard part, put a tape together and send it to the teams (they would have to have a need for your position) and you need to include something that sets you apart from everyone else. College experience isn't necessary as someone else stated (you have to have been out of high school at least 2 years

you can, but u need a resumee, a good college, and agent, exoerience, and a lot of other things. If you are a joe shmo who sits on a couch, i dont know, but if you are in shape and work out, best of luck to you. Arena football is eaiser to get into. It also depends what position you are. If some positions are in a bigger demand, you need to be prepared, good luck again

Yes they pretty much take anybody off the street to come play.... I don't understand why more people just don't play.
