No. Many don't unless if you find a celebrity that extremely nice. Many celebrities are cruel and very harsh on them, ordering them to do things and if one thing goes wrong, they don't have time to explain to their assistant and to teach them a lesson, instead they just fire them.
Though the assistants do have to be trustworthy so in SOME sort of way they SORT of are friends.

I'm sure they do. The celebrities only want people they trust to work for them. Most of them probably hire their friends so they can share the wealth!

It depends on their exact job title I guess. Like, what their duties include. Look at Jessica Simpson and her assistant Cacee Cobb. They seemed to do everything together. But for someone else, like maybe Angelina Joliee, I couldn't see her getting close to her assistant for fear of taking Brad! HAHA! But you know, some of them probably do and some probably dont..all for different reasons!

I think they would have to, they do so many personal things for the celebrity and there has to be trust and friendship there.
