Also I have no one to watch her as she is with her nana all day while I am at work. and it would not be fair for her to keep her any longer...I only have about 4 hours a night to unpack any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You might try to put some things that are unbreakable in one of the boxes, such as plastic plates or metal pots and pans and let her play with that box in a corner while you try to work on other boxes. If you have enough large boxes that she cannot move or climb over you might try surrounding her with them. Most toddlers will play with empty boxes and packing paper for quite a while.

Unpack her toys first and set up a play area for her. If she isn't interested, ask her to "help" by giving her an empty box and some of the things she sees you doing. Ask her to pack, unpack, whatever it takes. If she thinks she is helping, she may not get into what you are trying to do at the moment.

What I did when I moved with youngsters, have them help you. Keep her in the room with you, give her own box to unpack to help mommy. Either a box with her toys, or maybe towels. She will make a game out of it, and you are spending time with each other. Then after she goes to bed, use that time to work on some boxes

You can try giving her her own box to unpack, my son is the same age, and he loves helping me. You could also try waiting until you put her to bed at night. Sometimes you do things that you have to do and run off a few less hours of sleep.

Keep the little one occupied with his favorite t.v. show or a movie of their choice. A play pen is the best thing in the world for a mom to get things done with a toddler around.
