I really liked it until I found out how popular it was. I just didn't wan't my son to have the same name as the rest of the children his age. Not very original but I do like the name.My fiance's really crazy about it though. Since I told her how I feel, she thinks I just changed my mind so that she doesn't get her way(she's very emotional and very prego...lol...but what can you do I love her).She's 29 weeks and now I'm thinking about just giving in and making her happy. What do you think? Any Suggestions????

I like the Ethan but the Michael is so common and everyone has it....But I would pregnant girls get ugly really fast trust me I know I was pregnant for 9 1/2 months with a 10 pound 1 ounce Baby Boy

Throw some other suggestions out there on the table and just see if another sparks her interest. I love the name. It's very classic and a name that will still stand strong in 60-70 years. It really isn't a dated name like ....Gordon or Fred....
But hey, tell her that you had some other thoughts and you just wanted to run them by her. See how they go and if she's still unwilling to budge then, and since you've stated you LIKE the name you've got picked out already, name your son Ethan.
Picking a name for your children is a big responsibility. Several factors involved.....honoring a family member, making sure it's easy to pronounce, making sure it's not a name that can be easily made fun of, and most importantly -- a name that suits the baby and the parents are fond of.
Try this: have ONE more name picked out and when baby boy arrives see which name suits him. When my son was coming we had the names: Jacob Thomas and Patrick Gordon ---- he was a Jacob!!!!

Ethan Michael Logan is a very beautiful name. Growing up with an unpopular or unusual name isnt always the greatest thing in the world...I know...but at the same time just because its different or unusual to you doesnt mean it will stay that way...when I named my daughter in '97 I hadnt heard of many Makayla's, well now my daughter is 9 and in her class there are 3 other Makayla's although none of them spell it the way she does. So she is still unique although she is unique just being herself. Try seeing if you can spell it different. Remember its not the name that makes the child unique it is the child who is unique.

my 14 week son is Ethan because I thought it was quite uncommon but it seems to be more common but I would never change it because its a lovely name and I think Ethan Michael logan goes beautifully together and trust me make her happy it will make your life easier ask my fiance :p good luck

I have a 16 year old son. His name is Ethan. When I chose that name, it was very rare. Now it is sooo common. My other choices for names -
Markus (a family last name, but I like it)
