Because the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is nothing but a vehicle created by the record industry to promote and sell albums that they already have in their catalog. They really don't care if it's Rap or anything else. It's all about marketing.

Now, all the young people will go and buy these albums that they already have recouped their costs. That way they don't have to take risks on new artists that might not sell. They just make their money on old stuff because there is less risk. It stinks if you ask me. This is the kind of stuff that has killed diversity in new music.

I'm not sure why. Rap is awful music with no positive messages. Although I must say, music in general sucks these days. Everybody is in it for the money, and everybody is copying each other. When the few bands that do have talent come to an end, rock n roll will be dead.

Bands like Pink Floyd and The Beatles truely deserve a spot in the rock n roll HOF, not 2pac or Eazy E. They should be in the Teach Your Kids to be Worthless Thugs Hall of Fame.

The Rock n' Roll hall of Fame is dedicated to music in general, not particularly rock in the literal sense.

I agree with you, Rap is not Rock N Roll. But unfortunatly today you can call music anything you want to and it SUCKS!!

I do listen to Rap but I think it's WRONG to have it included in the Rock N ROll Hall of Fame

Your question is tantamount to asking if David Beckham as an occasion must be interior the baseball hall of repute. of direction no longer. Rock track is appreciably distinctive from rap or pop track.

Thats a great question and while it's unfortunate they got it there is some good news. There are over 1,500 radio stations and a wole load of producers and rock artists lobbying to get them out! Hopefully by the year 2010 it'll be just rock again.

They got in because if you listen to their music, they steal all the great rock stuff to use as samples in their stuff.
