NO, you're not dumb! EVERYONE has certain areas that they have trouble with. Mine was always math. Today I am a college graduate and no one would consider me dumb by any standard, and I had a math tutor in high school.

Whoever these people are that say that, are dumb for making such blanket remarks about something they know nothing about. Sounds like they need some tutoring for

Good luck!

hey there,
tutoring is just a different for of teaching, where teacher has only one (rarely more) student. The focus is on the subject and a potential problem a student might have during normal classes, lack of focus, being too shy, or just plain lazy etc. But this in no way means that the student is dumb. Try to organise yourself better, to keep you focus as long as you can during classes it sometimes helps if you have some fresh water with, bananas and honey are good for concentration, do as much of your homework as soon as you get home - even though you may feel tired, the subject matter is still quite fresh in you mind and it will take you less time to do it, and last but not least (and this one might sound silly) try to do 15-20 min of very intense excerise - something that would really make you sweat, you'll get more oxygen in your system and you'll feel fresh. Just try it for a couple of days to see if it works, in the end you might not need a tutor after all.

Cheer up Mariah if you need a tutor its not that you are dumb its just that the questions which you ask are not answered in the book. That makes you more clever. Never hesitate to get help when education is concerned.

No you are not dumb. There's absolutely nothing wrong with having someone explain something to you in a way that helps you understand it better. If you're concerned about what others are going to say you may want to consider asking a student who does well in the class to give you a hand. GOOD LUCK!

You can also have a tutor if you would like to get extra help in order to increase you knowledge, or to help you prep for exams and such. It does not mean you are dumb.

No, you are not dumb! There is nothing wrong with wanting to further your education. Too bad more kids or adults even didn't feel the same way!
