im an annual pass holder and that means i get into all tussards parks alton towers and thorpe park and chessington world of adventures i go regulary with a 14 year old and a 4 year old and alton towers in my opinion is ok for small children there are more thrill rides for adults than small children and if i was going to reccomend a park it would have to be thorpe park chertsey it has thrill rides for adults and childrens rides there is the depth charge suitable for your 4 year old you ride in a dingy down a flume you need an adult on there as well but my 4 year old loves it.there is the carousel which would suit oth your children and mr monkeys bannan boat again would suit your 4 year old there are lots of smaller rides for the younger ones than alton towers ive been to thorpe park 4 times this year since it opened and with problems with the thrill rides the only rides that were running propely were the small kids rides and there were a lot of kids there when i went if you do want to go to alton towers with your children i would recomend there website as you will know once you have read it whether you think its suitable my 4 year old will go on anything she can she even tries to get on the thrill rides but is to small alton towers website is www.alton towers.co.uk and thorpe parks is www.thorpe park.co.uk check out both websites for your needs i have been to the alton towers hotel and its kid friendly i found they helped you a lot and some of the staff dressed up if they had theme nights .they cater for small children well and will make your child something thats not on he menu if you want to i do find it reasonably priced to and you can get a discount to the park if you stay in the hotel good luck where ever you decide to go

Alton Towers For Toddlers

Not been to the hotel but the park has loads. Head to storybook land for some lovely gentle rides and round the corner are some farmyard themed rides. My youngest was 3/4 when we took her and she had a great time. There is also an ice-skating show nearby which involves circus people. It may be a bit scary in places with bangs and flashes but it ends with snow. The kids love it.

There are not really any rides at Alton Towers for small kids, most of them have height restrictions.

definetly not, i live in stoke-on-trent and go at least twice a year because i am able to get free or very cheap tickets because of my job. i have kids aged 2 and 5, we went to legoland near windsor and it was fantastic, absolutetly loads to do for the kids. we also stayed in windsor which was very nice as we had a tour round the castle aswell. drayton manor park and zoo is also pretty good and quite a bit to do. but the ages your kids are 100% legoland they will love it
