Relax , remember how many times in the past you did 5 miles and imagine you are just training . I bombed in 10k cross country because I panicked and thought I was trailing , I ran myself out when my coach almost killed me as i was in 49th out of hundreds and could easily under normal circumstances made even more positions up. Go out , enjoy yourself and have fun.

Pace yourself, it's best to go at a fair pace and finish than to run like all hell and burn out and not finish. Make sure to carboload, that is eat lots of carbs.
