I have had mostly guy friends all my life and now he wants me to drop them completly. Before I went out with him I was going out with another guy for 9 months, and we wanted to stay friends after we broke up... But my current boyfriend doesnt want to allow this to happen... I really care about him though and he means the world to me. What should I do? (I have been with current boyfriend for 9 months)

I would say if he wants you to drop all your guy friends and you stay in the relationship, he more then likely will get more demanding as time goes on. I can understand that he doesn't like you being friends with a ex, lets face it, you two were in a relationship and your boyfriend more then likely feels this guy will start hitting on you again. How would you feel if you knew he was still friends with a ex? BUT if he trusted you he should not ask you to dump your male friends. Has your boyfriend met any of your male friends? I have alot of male friends and my husband has met them all. I felt it would have been disrespectful if I never introduced them, almost as if I were trying to hide something.

Guys can be jealous. This is a sticky situation, and I've put my own girlfriend in it before. Eventually, we'll get used to the fact that you have guy friends. I say what you do is for a while, hang out with your ex while he's there, until your current boyfriend realizes he's not a threat. You just have to understand where he's coming from. If he hung out with his ex girlfriend of 9 months all of a sudden, alone, and expected you to just be okay with it, how would you feel? I would imagine that you'd have to be pretty trusting to just not care, and I don't think most people are that confident.

i think you should stay friends with the guy that you were seeing for nine months and if current boyfriend can't handle the fact that you still want to be friends and thats it with the other guy then he has some trusting issues that you either need to work out or leave him maybe you could explain to your current boyfriend that nothing is going to happen between you last boyfriend and if he can't trust you then you should just try to work things out with him or leave

Sounds like he's insecure. Reassure him. If it gets too bad, ya need to let him go! It's a sign of a mental disability. (Chemical imbalance in the brain that can trigger violence). Look for mood swings. Highs and Lows and quick temperament. If its there, GET OUT! Trust me. It will never work.

Yes he does sound a bit controlling. Since you know this in an early stage of your relationship, you should watch him closely.

Tell him to stop it. If he doesn't, dump him.

Too many fish in the sea to limit yourself to a control freak.
