One of the rules I learned/taught about spelling is that EVERY syllable needs a vowel.

That being said, words are made up of at least one vowel.

Therefore, I don't think it is possible for a real English word to have only consonants.

Although, the word 'cwm' is a pretty cool word.

(And 'y' is always a vowel if you ask me!)

It turns out that "twyndyllyng" (singular) is a 15th century spelling of the word "twinling," which means, in modern English, "twin."
