HBO's "The Wire". If you've never seen it, it is one of the best show's ever. It's currently off for the season, but I would highly suggest renting the previous seasons. I will say that I believe it's season two that's not as good, but still a must see in order to follow the flow of the show. I'll agree with J Shore also because the Shield is another must see.

I watch that show too every week. I think 24 has a lot of drama and suspense, but it may be harder to get into it if you haven't watched it before. Yu'd have to find some place to catch up.
I've heard heroes is really good too, but i've only seen it once for 5 minutes. Seemed like a suspenseful show though.

I would HAVE to say the SHIELD on FX. Same type of drama, and Vic Mackey is ruthless with a little soft spot every now and then. New season starts on 4-3-06...but you can see re-runs of past seasons on CW on late nite t.v on the weekends.

I think you'd also like 24, Lost, and Alias (seasons 1-3 are the only ones worth watching).

Knowing Hollywood, probably we shall soon see, "jail break" and "detention center break" followed by "celebrity jail break" and "all new prison break celebrity DUI bloopers."

Any of the CSI's would prob fit the bill. CSI Miami is my fave i'm totally addicted to it!

i would say heroes (nbc) and 24 (fox)...they both air at 9 pm on mondays.
