You know even this surprises me. Zidane headbutts a guy for shooting his mouth off like everyone does in a game, and then refuses to play a charity game with him. I don't care how well he played football he is a jerk.
If I attacked every idiot that said something stupid to me I would have been in jail my entire adult life. So would most people here.

It would have been classy if Zidane did play and patched things up with Materazzi. Jabbing during a game is part of sports, Zidane wouldn't last five seconds on a basketball court or football field in America if he is so sensitive. I'm sure Materazzi doesn't actually know Zizou's mom or sister and it was sad to see Zidane react like that, I was enjoying watching him play during the Wolrd Cup title game. Zidane's temper and stupidity got the best of him in one of the biggest games in his life, playing with Materazzi would have been a nice way to make himself look a little less like an idiot.

Zidane is not a sensitive man.What you got to understand is peoples background,culture,religion,upbringing, as to some people there are some things you just don't say.You could call materazzi a motherfucker and probably won't react to it.If you are in front of me and you call me that I don't give a **** if you are a Gangster.I will find a way to put you in a ******* wheelchair and I will be satisfied with the consecuenses cheers.oh yeah zidane did the right thing.

Only those two themselves know all of what went on between them. I suspect there was a lot more to it than the one comment about Zidane's sister that got reported. If Zidane decided he shouldn't play, I give him the benefit of the doubt, and won't think bad of him for that.

Neither me nor u know wht went between Zizou and Materazzi during the world cup finals.All we know is tht Materazzi said somthin bad about Zizou's sister and ZIzou protected his sis honour by headbutting him.Tht was a gentlemanly act and I luv him for it.Zizou probably didnt want to create an unpleasant atmosphere for him and MAterazzi and so he refuused to play with him.Is it wrong??Zizou is a great man and a living legend.

i will just tell you my opinion
i think that zidane was 100 % right in his decision of not playing with Materazzi..He wouldnt agree to play with a player who ruined his reputation.. and made him lose some of his fans and made him end his career with an unfair Red card ..Materazzi's character sucks anyways and i hate him ..what i can assure Zidane is that i am still a big fan of him and i dont care what media or italian fans say about him i still admire his talents and skills .. People forgive and forget .. and i agree with Zidane on never Forgetting not Forgiving Materazzi for what he did
