Unless your vehicle is a BMW or Mercedes, yes. You must pay for all maintenance items to keep the car operational. However you are not required to have this work done at the dealership. You can even do it your self as long as you keep receipts and records that fulfill your warranty agreement.

YES!!! Oil changes are classified as MAINTENANCE. It is YOUR responsibility to maintain YOUR vehicle, NOT the manufacturer's. Warranty is intended to cover vehicle DEFECTS, not owner negligence. Example: If your vehicle requires a new engine, caused by sludge build up, from lack of oil changes, YOU PAY. Hope this helps.

Yes, except in rare cases (BMW for instance) where the scheduled maintenance (like oil changes) is covered for the duration of the warranty.

you have to pay for "upkeep" of your vehicle, that includes oil change, filters, tires, etc..warranty is for motor, transmission, major components of the automobile..and i suggest getting oil changed every 3000 miles...and follow warranty guidelines, it should be in your owner manuels..hope this helps
