I've got two friends who don't own TVs. One is a completely obnoxious culture vulture and the other is the cleverist, most well informed person I know. Personally, I think I'd be knackered without a TV. I have to read all day for my degree and if I had to use my brain to entertain myself at night as well, I'd be mentally exhausted. It'd be alright in the summer, coz I could do the garden during the day and study in the evenings, that wouldn't be a bad little life.

Not bored without a TV. The hight of my TV watching spans Dragon's Den and repeats of the Avengers (with Diana Rigg as Mrs Emma Peel) - too young to have seen it first time round. Youtube is certainly giving UK television a serious competitor - as Al Gore recognises with his user driven TV station.

Probably not that bored - at the moment there are only 2 programmes that I watch on a weekly basis, Desperate Housewives and Prison Break. When I'm at home I love to listen to music and to read, and there's so much else to do I don't know how anyone could say they would be bored!

I wouldn't be bored at all because TV really sucks, especially right now. Like Frank Lloyd Wright said, "TV is chewing gum for the eyes." He was right. I try to socialize with my neighbors or beautiful strangers.

I only watch prison break and american idol, so I would hardly be bored, I like reading better, but I think i'd go insane without having spongebob and elmo to distract my kids from destroying the house occasionally!

I dont think so - there is a lot of rubbish on nowdays anyway! I'd be lost without my DVD player and Radio but i dont think having my TV taken away would be a great knock on effect.

Truthfully speaking I would hate not having a TV it's not the fact that I watch much, I have corrie on, emmerdale on, but if you asked me what was going on I couldn't tell you, guess it's just the sound as it don't seem so quiet when you live on your own.

Wouldn't be as long as I had a monitor for the PC - TV has nothing worth watching on it......I'd rather clean the toilet (with my tongue) than watch most stuff on TV
