I loved working at the Mall in retail. You know that you're getting off work every night around 9:00 because that's when the Mall closes. So working weekends was no big deal because the night life is just getting started when your getting off work. I worked at a restuarant and hated it. It's harder work in my opinion. You sweat and smell like food while listening to whining adults who want their steak cooked just right. The hours are totally unpredictable and closing stinks. Mopping the floors, cleaning the booths and so on. Working in retail was easy and enjoyable as you have to dress nicely which makes you feel good. Then you get discounts, those discounts are great especially if you work at a nice store with sharp clothes. You'll find yourself shopping at your workplace when you're off work. Not to mention the atmosphere it totally different. In the food industry you're always rushing to serve this customer and that customer so you can get them out of the restuarant quicker for more customers to arrive. In retail you're all relaxed and smiling helping families with anything, of course at Christmas time the store goes nuts. I personally liked retail alot better than the food industry, it suited me more. Hope this helps. Good Luck & God Bless!
