There seems to be a double standard here. Bald can be beautiful on anyone.

Because Society defines beautiful- by hollywood standards. Bald for women is not attractive, people associate it with cancer.. or I dont know. Its not really a double standard. its just that guys like hair for some reason Hair is beautiful and feminine

When it comes to women & the media, long, flowing hair is considered the epitome is feminine grace. Hair makes the woman in a lot of peoples' eyes. People make it okay for (some) men to be bald, but really there's not much representation of bald women. It's really a media thing, and bald is really an appellation looked down on both men and women.

Because for most of human history hair was/is an indicator of health. Baldness implied illness or age. And because baldness is unusual especially among women it probably became part of our subconscious biases.

i find a lot of bald women beautiful. but like any hair color or any hair cut, it depends on the person. on some people it looks good but on some it doesnt. Plus i think that many men consider long hair a female attribute, so when a woman doesnt have that they stay away

Yes, bald can be good or bad, gender has nothing to do with how bald will look on either. It all comes down to genes.

For me, it's tough to run your fingers through someone's skin without risking injury. It's not a double standard it just personal preference, The heart wants what the heart wants.

I think to some guys hair is not that big of a deal. Some guys really love long hair on girls though.

never heard of it. the only bald headed chic getting ragged on is britney spears cuz she did it for attention.
