it depends on how many weeks you are when you take your blood test. i was in the 700's and then in 48 hours i was in the 1400's. it is supposed to double within your first trimester in those 48 hours.

Higher hcg levels do often indicate twins. when i was pregnnay with my twins i went from the 500's to damn near 1400s in 48 hours.

hCG levels vary from women to woman and it depends how far along the pregnancy is.

It is usually, but not always, higher for twins - but a high level of hCG doesn't necessarily mean twins.

The only real way to reliably confirm twins is via ultrasound.

It depends on how far along you are and it doesn't alway mean twins!
