I mean, I'm on the UK Polls & Surveys section where people speak actual English and can write too. Then when I click "All English questions" I am suddenly flooded with spelling errors and grammatical mistakes.. Guid grief likesay!

Ok, I should have asked why suddenly humour disappears off the site when I leave the UK section.

I assume your contriction is a deliberate contraction. If I understand your beef, maybe we should have Anglish and English.
Using spell-checker is like washing your hands after having a leak. Most of the time I do.

No, my grandparents were Italian and came from lake Como Dongo. They moved to Wales many many moons ago. My Dad was Welsh and my Mum came from Yorkshire. A bit of a mixture really EDIT: There is no such thing as 100% English. The Romans lived here for over 400 years and liked to spread their selves around. There was a lot of intebreeding

Its a shame that your question had a spelling mistake!! Sure it was accidental though, but I think you meant contradiction!
I'm constantly amazed and horrified by the number of errors and grammatical blunders that people seem happy to display on here. I think that many of the 'English' speakers/ writers on here just don't take the time to check, its a shame because it makes us look like a bunch of illiterates!

Forsooth!
I shalt thole this sufferance without zounds. Wert unto thee to stand high and smote those who would rantipole the English language, until they art cag-mag!

(You do know that many of Shakespeare's finest works of literature worked because he made words up, and used deliberate grammatical errors! JUST A THOUGHT! Haha!)...

I think a lot of them are from simply not using spell check or trying to be cute and use the "lingo" and short cuts like "wuz" instead of was etc and "2" intead of 2 or "ru" instead of are you, because they are to lazy to write it out or, they are trying to be cute. Although it is annoying I think we are just going to have to put up with it because so many people use this form of writing, personally I find it really annoying and many times I don't bother answering the question because it is so convoluted with this grammer it makes it to silly to read or basically impossible to read. At least this is my opionion and I am sure many are going to get nasty and/or disagree with me but I am with you 100%.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent typing were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in Yahoo Answers is now dumber for having read it. May God have mercy on your soul.

Oh, come on...are we really THAT bad? There are a few of Her Majesty's subjects who seem to like a few of us Yanks....

(Oh, and by the way, on the subject of spelling errors...it's "Contr-AD-iction." Sorry--I couldn't resist.)
