Accordingly: What year was Hamlet written.

I would like some actual years.

The date that the play was written and not performed.
And the date that women IN ENGLAND were allowed to act on stage.

Women were first allowed on stage in England under the reign of Charles II in 1660. He was following the practice in France, where women had been on stage for quite some time.

Since Hamlet was written around 1600, Ophelia and Gertrude would certainly have been played by men.

Hamlet was being performed by 1600. The exact year of its first appearance is still debated (1597-1599)

Where and when women first were allowed on the stage varies by countries. But in English theater it was well after the time of Shakespeare.
