It is a real MYTH that 'reverse' psychology accomplishes ANYTHING, especially by people who are basic idiots when it comes to the principals of psychology (not that I am implying that you are an idiot, you are not but maybe the person who is 'trying' to use it IS an idiot). It's laughable. Just tell him/her to quit playing stupid mind games. The sooner you both start behaving like mature adults and cease asinine mind games, the better communication and relationship you will have. BTW, you spell it with an H! Psychology....

You are already one step ahead in knowing that this person has a hidden agenda. Use your intuition to see into what this person wants and manipulate the conversation accordingly. Also, give the answers that he/she wants, but adjust what you say to make it not come out as they were hoping....Get it?
