I am all about the importance of getting our politicians in both parties to get some responsibility and begin controlling federal spending...but I have to say, whenever anyone gives the "sky is falling" breakdown of the US debt without including US revenues in the picture I have to cringe.

Keep in mind, while the debt is almost $9 trillion, federal tax revenues are over $2 trillion. That means the government owes about 4.5 times the amount of their annual revenues. Try putting that into perspective by considering how much the average household mortgage is compared to household incomes.

So before you panic about the average American owing $29,000 consider that in the same breath the average American produces almost $6500 of tax revenues!

Hi,

Well, the answer to our current problem could be solved by impeachment, but we now have a herd of mid term democrats who have either forgotten or never knew why they were elected to majority by both democrats and republicans.

Nancy Pelosi is too busy trying to portray the new, goody two shoe democratic party, and in the mean time is sitting on her narrow a s s, doing nothing.

I understand there are a number of American citizens who have decided to get while the getting is good, taking up citizenship in Canada.

All it is going to take is a good strong independent, (Arnold) and the dems and repubs are all going to all be looking for jobs in 2008.

Good question,

Darryl S.

Part of this is just war economics. Sun Tsu said if you go and conquer you have to take resources or you'll go broke.
