do companies plant targeted questions on yahoo answers as part of their promotion of products, like this?

Yep...they do. I hate that. Someone posted a question the other day, "So you want extra money." It was an impromptu ad directing you to a website, where if you take polls...you earn money. The catch was that you had to join in on memberships or fill out aps for loans. So some questions posted are subtle to get you to bite, others are more blatant.
