Hi...I wrote a long reply to you then my blasted computer ate it. I didn't have me in it to rewrite it, but since no one has given you this info I'll give it another shot.
What I said is if you like a full service resort the Red Jacket it nice (although I prefer the one in NH personally lol), but my feelings with the Cape is to consider the location and what you are looking for. I personally wouldn't stay at the one on the Cape now, because of the local.
It's in South Yarmouth right outside Hyannis. This part of the Cape caters primarily to 2 main groups of people, tourists and those looking to party. Yes there are lots of good restaurants (as there are up and down the Cape), but far more than average bars. The beaches are ok but not the best that's out there, (although I'm pretty sure the RJ has their own..we would stay elsewhere and go to Seagull beach which is the best in that area that's public), and it's a lot more crowded and bustling than other parts.
So if this is what sound like fun to you, then definately consider it. I used to go to S. Yarmouth all the time right after I got out of college. But now when I go to the Cape I want to recharge my batteries and enjoy some peace and quiet.
I personally feel the Eastham area is spectacular. It is close to the quaint Cape of years ago, it has the National Seashore beach which is ranked one of the top 10 in the world, some lovely smaller resorts. And one can alway drive a little bit if they want more night life, but if you stay where it's all going on you can't get away from it! Plus there is great shopping and dining there.
Also you are midway down the Cape, so it's very centrally located to go to other parts if you want. If you have time a trip to Ptown (Provincetown) is always a hoot. It's one of the best people watching spots in the world, and makes for a fun day (unless you have kids, then maybe not lol).
So I'd decide what you want from your trip. If you enjoy a nice resort on a resort filled major strip that is wall to wall traffic jams all day and night, with tons of tourist cute stores and lots of chains, then you'll be happy there. I honestly think the key is if you are going more for partying or scenery/relaxation. Then choose which part of the Cape to go to.
Hope you have a blast where ever you go to!

Personally, I love Hyannis, Massachusetts. There are many quaint inns and hotels to stay in throughout Hyannis. There is a great Sheraton Resort called the Four Points. Hyannis has several beaches (Sea Street Beach, Kalmus, Veterans Beach), shopping, great restaurants, whalewatching, sightseeing (the Kennedy family compound) and you can easily take the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket for the day. If you plan out your trip you can even catch some great singers at the Melody Tent. For shopping you have to go to the Christmas Trees stores which have very cheap items ranging from clothes to souvenirs to kitchen products. More than anything, the people in Hyannis are friendly and down to earth.

The Cape is wonderful. I do live in MA. so the Cape is only a 40 minute ride. Boyfriend and I spend so much time on the Canal since we love to fish. We even camped on the Cape with a friend of ours. One of the best nights of my life! If you do go, you HAVE to visit Bobby Byrnes restaurant. The food is great!! Make sure to visit Sandwich, it's very historical. Have a great trip!

i can not have faith the past Answerers. You actual, actual won't have the capacity to do an afternoon on Cape Cod, exceedingly attending to work out the superb area (the Outer Cape from Chatham to Provincetown) in case you want additionally to do a first rate meandering to Portland and revel in Portland additionally (and Portland is amazingly, VERY relaxing). With summer time site visitors, apersistent from Boston to Outer Cape Cod could be 6 hours around holiday! suggestion: from Boston take the summer time boat or catarmaran to Provincetown for the day (and in step with hazard a B&B in a single day) (yet not while you're gay-damaging!!!!!!). in any different case, fulfill your self using purely so some distance as Duxbury and Plymouth and do them as a exchange. and then soak up Cape Ann (Gloucester-Rockport) and Essex-Newburyport north of Boston for the the remainder of your close to-Boston seacoast reviews; then alongside the Maine coast. do not KNOCK NEW ENGLAND SEAFOOD SHACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they frequently have extremely clean seafood on the superb costs, and in lots of cases a sturdy form of beers and wines. in any different case, $ 30 a plate is under no circumstances pricy. In Boston you will not do greater helpful than the No-call on the fish pier!!! Boston's Chinatown is small yet there are some sturdy eating places at the same time with 2 specializing in seafood. yet because of the shape of hospitals and universities around Boston that have lots of expert chinese language and scholars sturdy chinese language eating places with real dishes (yet you would be able to would desire to ask for the actual menu while you're caucasian) could be got here upon everywhere. i don't be responsive to what you recommend "not too pricy B&B's" yet i think out of your seafood parameters you would be disillusioned, yet with the financial crash who is familiar with? Scenic cities with oceanside environment and beaches to hit: Duxbury (as mentioned), Scituate, Manchester-by employing-the-Sea, Rockport (gorgeous place - come across a B&B there), Essex, Ipswich (Crane's coastline), Newbury (Plum Island coastline and Reservation), Newburyport, York and York coastline, ME. From Portland take a ship to the harbor islands.
