Just wondering if any of you who have had toxemia were brave enough to go through another pregnancy. Did the toxemia return?

I did. I had toxemia with my first. I then got pregnant a few months after giving birth to her. The toxemia didn't return, but I ended up having placenta abruptio. I read somewhere that during a pregnancy with toxemia, there's a higher chance of placental problems. I don't know if my first and second pregnancies were linked in anyway though. Good luck. Oh, my husband and I also plan to try for one more baby.

A lot of people actually just get it in their first pregnancy. Yeah the chance is higher in your 2nd and whatever, and you can get it. But you will never know what will happen. I wouldnt NOT get pregnant becuase of it. You could have an even better pregancy then before.. I had it in my first, and not my 2nd and so far at 36 weeks pregnant not this one either!1

My brother's wife had pre-eclampisa with her first - my niece was 2 months premature but a healthy 8 y.o. now. She got pregnant again within a year of having the first, but miscarried. A couple of years later she got pregnant again and had zero problems and carried my second niece to term - again with no problems.
