My firend met a nice man about a year ago and he asked her out on a date. He was with someone else at the time although he had told my friend that the relationship was over. She later found out from a friend that he was still living with her.
The problem is that he is a special copper and seems to just keep turning up at her home and ringing her on her mobile. She has asked him to stop calling and turning up at her home but he still continues to do so every now and then often at 2am in the morning!!!! He will leave it a few weeks and then turn up randomly. He rings from many phones so when she answers she is not aware it's him.
The friendship ended when she relasised he was still living with his girlfriend of 12 years.
This man does not listen to what she is saying. she has even threatedned to go to the police as this has not frightedned him off. It's like he is stalking her. She things there is something wrong with him!!!

I do know that he did tell her he had depression. Not sure if he is under treatment. She also thinks he has been watching her house. last time he turned up she had gone away for the weekend and her teenage son was in the house alone. It is now worrying her children

The other problem is that she only knows his first name and not his surname so that will make reporting him very difficult.

well ,, i think in this case she should change her phone number then she should tell him everything once again and tell him that there's no way for him to stay with her after what he done plus the fact that he have another gf and he lied to her.. !!
after that she should tell him in a very serious way that she'll go to the police if he ever tried to talk to her once again ..
if he didn't stop doing what ever he's doing then she really have to report to the local authorities and the police.

For your Additional Details ..
even if she don\t know the name she should contact the local authorities and they'll send some one to watch over the house and if he came then they gonna take him away and your friend wont have to worry about him any more

There is something wrong with him and instead of her just calling the police she needs to file a report. She also needs to start by changing her contact numbers (home and cell). She needs to change the locks on all doors because she doesn't know if he has made a key or not. However most importantly she does need to get the police involved. They look at it as there's 2 sides to every story. So they will go to him and tell him to stop all contact. He will not be arrested up front. They will give him the chance to stop on his own. She also needs to get a restraining order against him. He will also be forced to stop with the restraining order and will have to stay a certain distance from her. If by chance he breaks any part of that she can call the police and they will pick him. Get your friend to change her contact numbers, put the police on notice and get the restraining order in place.

If your friend will not call the police there is nothing you can do. She could put a stop to his behavior with a call to the police yet she chooses not to. Think about that. She is also a part of this game.

At 2:00 a.m. he is probably drunk and will act on his impulses - I bet when he is sober he doesn't bother her. Either way, she has the power to put an end to it so tell her to shut up or do something the next time she complains to you about it.

She needs to go to the police immediately and file for a restraining order. After that she should change her cell and home phone numbers. He is stalking her and will not stop until he is made to stop.

There is definitely something wrong with him, he fails to interpret what she said to him. The best thing to do is to report the matter to the Police, before he takes it any further, especially if your friend lives alone.

call the police every time he does it. write EVERYTHING down, keep a "paper trail". he sounds like a pyscho! i wouldnt take it lightly. and not to be a ***** to everyone saying restraining order....but getting one will be a waste of time. making a report may seem like a waste of time, but every time you do it, the more proof you have if anything was to ever happen.

She needs to stop threatening to go to the police and go!
A threat won't scare him off.
