I find it interesting that the article doesn't even mention the parents - like they didn't even try to contact them.

well you would have to be there to understand? both work probably, have an older sibling watch their kids or the neighbors?the older sibling doesnt want or care as long as kid is not bugging them? they have their own set of problems?parents never had an education or any parenting skills other than what their parents did for them so it follows that you get what ever comes down the road of life?kid could be just a criminal and getting a head start on social services and the penal system of Ohio? I would say the entire community fell down on this? someone had to notice that there was trouble ahead? a teacher, cop or Reverend?with all those charges how come they never caught this kid earlier? where were the cops??what about forensics? it was all petty so they just wrote it off as "dont worry its just some kids?" last, where this kid comes from is Appalachia,no jobs no money no support no schools, typical of Ohio as its legislature is bought and paid for in Columbus? go buckeyes??ha! they cant pass a school funding bill for over 10 yrs!!worthless!unless it has to do with football?

There is far more to being a parent than just siring the child, or giving birth. Some people aren't meant to be parents, unfortunately they have children anyway and it is heart breaking when this happens. The people that suffer most are the children that are left to fend for themselves and they go through life feeling that no one really cares about them.

I think young people are seeing too many ways to make a living off of the government by having children, not thinking that they actually have to take of them and not knowing how to take care of them.
There are a lot of loopholes in our system.
