what about himself and his music?

He was a god in the 90's as far as music goes, esp for tamil stuff. Lately I'm not sure how his work is, but he did music for Kabhi Alvida Kehna and Guru, from what this girl I know tells me it was decent.
He is one of the most talented music directors in India, he has a lot of potential so I hope that he focuses his efforts on creating mindblowing new music in the next few years.

A.R. RAHMAN - What to say. For Cheap culture of Tamilnadu his music may be good and liked by people. But nowadays all his tunes are stale. In the beginning for some films like ROJA had made good music. Otherwise he is a very good COPY CAT. My daughter is a great fan of all type of Western music, analyzed each and every song of ARR and say it is from which song/songs. For people who know only tamil cinema music he may be great but to those who know something about world music he is just nothing.
About him - not known much he may be good man..

A.R.Rehman is one of the best music directors in the world. no one can beat him in India. he is my favorite also. recent album "prey for the brother" is a class.

after sd burman at last we have someone who can make it to those heights
but
should we be in some sort of hurry to brand him god or something?
let him take his time, his ups and downs and honestly
