The transmission is shot in my S320 Mercedes-Benz and I want to replace it before I try to sell the car. I live in central virginia and a somewhat trustworthy mechanic here quoted a price for replacing the transmission and for labor, but admitted the owner of the shop wants to charge about 600 more for the transmission than what he purchased it for. He said if I could find my own transmission it would be considerably cheaper to have it replaced- and they would do the labor at the shop. Where can I find rebuilt/used transmissions for this car? Do I need a transmission specific to the model as well as the make? I literally have no idea where to begin. Help!

None of them are semi-automated yet all cutting-edge Benz fashions with automated transmissions have the manu-matic function as primary (using fact the 2000 style 3 hundred and sixty 5 days). no longer many have paddle shifters in the back of the guidance wheel yet you ought to use the kit selector cope with to choose each kit.
