i am thinking to buy a ps3 but i have crt tv.do i need to buy lcd tv to get best pictures or graphics out of ps3?or i stick with crt?

I own a PS3 and my advice would be yes.
If you want to get the max effects of the PS3 yes you do, and plus spending a little money on the lCD tv will also help you in entertainment in the future so i think you should buy one!
if you do make sure you get Gundam musou and resistance fall of man i've beaten them both and they're awesome!

just play it on a smaller TV
like 19"-21" thts ok
i play 360 on Sd and its good
stik with crt
or connect ur xbox to ur monitor
buy the cable its 39$ but there r fake versions for 10$
they said tht it look like HDTv
offcourse if ur monitor is good

I have a tube TV on my ps3.... you still notice a BIG improvement on graphics, but there are traces where you can notice its best with a hi-def
Sometimes text isnt 100% clear, or small things might be cut off on the sides...
All-and-all, it still works great on a tube TV, but theres a huge improvement on a hi-def

i have a ps3 and yes go with the lcd tv it the best,hey if u get ps3 its well worth it my playstation network name is BLAZN_GHOST so any quisetions just add me and i will give all the help i can!

to take full advantage of the ps3 you need an hdtv. otherwise, it still looks good, but not the best.
