She was a humanitarian who did tons of work for many charities. She founded the Missionaries of Charity and won the nobel peace award in 1979. She died in 1995 but is considered to be one of the most admired people of the 20th century. I'm sure if you google "mother theresa" you will find tons of info on all the things she did.

Mother Teresa was a Catholic nun who went into the slums of India to help poverty-stricken people. She was known for her lack of desire for material wealth, founded the Missionaries of Charity and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her humanitarian work. The Catholic Church is now in the process of beatifying her for Sainthood.

she was a closter nunn, and she gave that life up to go help people outside of the monistary, so she spent her life helping the poor and living with them
