i have these friends who i don't know if are bad influence or not, a lot of people are saying they are but they always have my back when i'm in trouble but still ever since i met them (which was last year) i've been failing my classes, are they to blame?
They're other groups that i can hang out with and still have as much fun (or even more) and get motivated to pass my classes

You know what you need to do. We've all friends like that. You need to decide what kind of future you want to have and go after it. You will make friends with the same goals along the way. If you want to work at a fast food restaurant or dead end jobs, keep hanging out with them. It's your life and your choice. Be smart and set your goals high and go after them!

Well guess what buddy. People are wrong. You are to blame for failing your classes. You focus to much on them. Mayeb take a break from them and get your school stuff staright may help. People don't know whats good for yourself. Only you know. They have been helping you through tight spots and that is what friends do, right? Go try and hang out with some other groups so you can get motivated again. Just not as much so your other friends think you are ditching them for somebody else.

Sounds like they may be bad influences. Start hanging out with another group of friends that won't bring you down.

Blame yourself for failing not your friends! If you want, you can be friends with those guys and get good grades at the same time.

your friends don't choose your behavior or direction in life.

if you are failing classes, you have no one to blame but yourself.

sometimes our behaviors follow the patterns of those we choose to associate with -- so you could be "following the leader"...

no one makes YOUR choices but you.

do what you think will be best for you, and your current life situation.
