Hello you can try to go to start control panel then go to where is says mouse, look in there and make sure it is where you want it set at as far as speed and clicking, if this dont help. I suggest you use some virus protection, i f you do use protection, then if on a windows system go to www.windowsupdate.com it will download needed softwares for your computer, if this still does not work I think your mouse is bad, have you tried to clean it? the mouse is a very cheap item to buy it is allways nice to have extra one handy, if ever see someone throwing out a old pc it is a good idea to grab the keyboard and the mouse if you can, these could come in handy and if it dont work then it dont cost an arm and or a leg to just throw it away.

If its a laptop the the touchpad might be bad so any slight touch could have your mouse moving on its own.

Mine used to wander until I place a rubber pad underneath and now it doesn't wander any more. Hope this helps.

optic mouse...clean surface its used on or buy a new one.
roll mouse.......undo the bass and clean residue inside.
furry mouse.....put it in a cage.
