american babies but not children from other countries? Not that she has adopted any american children but I notice people always have to same something about american babies when the topic comes up.
Don't all children have a need to be loved and cared for?
I think the fact she is opening up her life, home, heart and finances to child, of any culture, is wonderful and I could care less what country she is adopting from.

Oh, people are so judgemantal. I am with you. And, if I were rich and famous, maybe I'd want a little "International" family, too. Because it's not about race and color and looking alike, it's about love. And Angelina and her babies look very happy to me.

It shouldn't be like that. She is giving a child a chance who had none. How can we fault her for that? Would it be even MORE amazing if she adopted an 11 year old American child with some kind of special needs? Maybe... But is it still amazing that she is taking a child with no future and giving him or her a future? Yes! How can anyone be upset about this?

Unless these people who are angry with her are out adopting or supporting those "less adoptable" American children, then I don't want to hear it. Any chance anyone gives ANY child is a good deed in the kind of world we live in today.

I agree with you. I think she's a wonderful woman who has money and use it for good sake. It's no one business if she wants to adopts kids from other countries. Children from third world countries has less opportunities to make it on their own. Also i heard that if you adopt american babies, the biological parents have 3 years to take the baby back if they want too. And if this ever happened, the foster parents will be devastated if they have already bond with their adopted kids.

Angelina Jolie adopts from Third World countries because there are a lot of people in America who want to adopt, and can afford to. There aren't so many in the countries where she adopts because of the poverty.
Personally, I admire her sense of responsibility and desire to do something besides just party.

all American babies will eventually recieve the adequate care and education they need, whether its from foster parents or an orphanage.....

children from other countries on the other hand will not. Angelina Jolie is giving these kids a shot of actually doing something with themselves in the future. Of course its all for publicity, but its still a good deed no matter what.

Give the woman a break...

I think people bring it up because she is an American, and the fact that she has adopted no babies from America, strikes a lot of people as odd.

I think it's great whenever any child gets adopted into a loving environment.

What I worry about with Angelina though is that sometimes it comes off like her babies are accessories.Like she is merely adopting all these kids for the novelty of it and nothing more.

All children do need to be loved and cared for, I think it is wonderful to save a being from a underdeveloped third world country and bringing them to a world of opportunity.
