For some unknown reason, I just cannot make gravy from scratch. So, I prefer the gravy available in Jars over homemade or instant.

In spite of my southern roots, I loathe creamed gravy. When I make brown gravy its instant. Turkey gravy! Now THAT I make from scratch. When's lunch?

I hate all gravy. I like things plain. My mother makes hers from scratch and everyone else likes it.

it depends on what I'm putting it on...but I prefer brown gravy with mushrooms in it and of course from scratch is best but sometimes it doesn't work and instant if foolproof...
