That's not love, my dear. It's a bet that he can go steady with you. Of course, it's an opportunity to be with him, go out with him, know him better, by all means. But please do not put your whole heart into this relationship until you're completely sure that he loves you back. If you're not sure, please reserve yourself for someone special that deserves you.

Ok - a little confused here. First, you can't bet someone to love you. It's not possible. If he said this because a bet - it's just that and it's not real love. Now, if someone bet him to ask you out and because of that, you ended up falling in love - thank the people that bet him for their immaturity and go on being happy. There's a book called "Bet Me." Good book, by Jennifer Cruise, you might like it since you asked this question.

Grow up! Nobody loves anyone because of a bet! Also, this is key being attracted to someone is NOT being in love with them. Sounds like both of you need to Grow Up!
