I would think that it is possible, but so long as your businesses NEVER cross paths! Meaning, one can never use the services of the other. Then that may be when there would be a conflict of interest.

Just my thoughts.

Good luck!

Your best bet is to check with your state real estate office. Each state has different real estate laws. I know some states will allow this, but if you do an inspection and the real estate transaction, you usually have to get the buyer to sign a form recognizing that you are representing them on 2 issues.
Also, keep in mind, if you are an inspector and real estate agent, you open yourself up to twice the liability and threat of lawsuit than before.

I wouldn't even consider doing both on the same transaction. Anything you miss, you're for sure getting sued. And the conflict of interest is a major ethical breach.

And if I were your broker, I probably wouldn't even let you be the inspector for any deal for any agent working under me either, for the same reasons.

I'd rather do appraisals on the side than inspections. But I think the above restrictions should still apply.

Major conflict of interest. If you want to be sued on basically every transaction go for it. If you are a good agent you should be busy enough so you do not need to have an extra $400 per transaction. Is $400 dollars per transaction Worth it? You should be making enough of the transaction.
